Hamburg's historic Christmas market fills the Rathausmarkt in front of the grand City Hall, with stalls styled by Circus Roncalli's Bernhard Paul and a Santa who 'flies' over the market on his sleigh in the evenings. From there, markets line the Jungfernstieg on the Alster lake, the Gänsemarkt and the shopping streets.
For something different, Santa Pauli on the Reeperbahn bills itself as Hamburg's hottest Christmas market — with an adult twist.
